My first time reading Natasha Pulley and I'm already hooked. Apart from the unique and captivating retelling of the myth of the god of ecstasy and madness, I loved the way that anything that seems like a minor detail during the book might return later, full of sense and unexpected importance. A very smart book and an absolute treat!
Mit diesem Roman lese ich zum ersten Mal etwas von Natasha Pulley und ich bin jetzt schon begeistert. Der Mythos des Gottes der Ekstase und des Wahnsinns wird hier neu erzählt und liest sich einfach mitreßend. Besonders gut gefiel mir dabei Pulleys Schreibstil und ihre Art, erzählerische Details einzubauen, die erst unwichtig erscheinen, doch im weiteren Verlauf der Geschichte eine ganz neue Bedeutung bekommen. Jetzt muss ich erst mal alles lesen, was sie noch veröffentlicht hat!
